01 · Problem

A free campsite needs more than a pin

A map can mark the campsite, but it cannot show how the sauna, camping areas, access tracks, and shoreline sit together. Visitors still have to work out the place after they arrive.

The campsite and its free sauna are maintained by the local community. The area is open to visitors without an entrance fee.

02 · Approach

Map the site, then add the details

We captured the area from the air, processed the footage into a Gaussian splat, and added hotspots inside the scene. Each hotspot opens an annotation about a specific part of the campsite.

03 · Outcome

A coastal area tour that opens in a browser

  • Visitors can inspect the campsite layout and shoreline before arriving.
  • Hotspots explain the free sauna and other points of interest directly in the scene.
  • The tour records a small coastal place maintained by its local community.

Worth knowing before you write a brief

AppsFlyer's 2025 benchmark across 28 billion installs puts Day-1 retention at around 25%. AR apps sit below that floor, because every reviewer is a single-use case, not a habit. WebAR removes the funnel. The link that opened the experience the first time still opens it the second.
