A painted motif becomes a reactive 3D presence

VOID · spatial Snap Lens art

01 · Problem

Problem

The physical room already had strong painted walls. The AR layer needed to feel connected to the artist's space rather than pasted on top of it.

02 · Approach

Approach

Visitors scanned a Snapcode and opened the work in Snapchat. The 3D white-circle form reacted to live microphone input and to the user's movement through XYZ position in the space.

03 · Outcome

Outcome

  • A physical wall motif became interactive spatial art.
  • The piece reacted to both sound and movement.
  • Snap Lens made the installation easy to open on visitors' phones.

Worth knowing before you write a brief

AppsFlyer's 2025 benchmark across 28 billion installs puts Day-1 retention at around 25%. AR apps sit below that floor, because every reviewer is a single-use case, not a habit. WebAR removes the funnel. The link that opened the experience the first time still opens it the second.
