Problem

Area residents needed to understand several possible futures for their neighbourhood before giving feedback. Flat plans were not enough for a quick, shared understanding.

Approach

A printed flyer became an image-tracked AR target. Scanning it opened a scale model with three toggleable options and project information, while the same options were also available as embedded online 3D.

  • Residents could compare three options from a mailed print piece and a website.
  • The experience linked through to official city feedback channels.
  • Feedback informed a fourth and final option, which flyAR also created as a 3D web version.
