Shopping mall spatial AR activation

We had the pleasure of working with together with the wonderful team at Lataamo Group to create a part of their Magic Garden vision for shopping centre Sello.

A portion of the mall is undergoing renovations and it was covered with a massive “Magic Garden” -themed print (design by Lataamo). flyAR (that’s us!) was asked to bring some life into the theme using large scale AR. We modeled, animated and augmented a bunch of different kinds of tropical birds and butterflies to fly around in cool paths around the renovation area and its surrounding colorful cover.

Published as an App Clip (iOS) and Instant App (Android) using Zappar Mattercraft paired with Immersal VPS for the spatial anchoring. The entire experience launches just by scanning a simple QR code that could be found from a few floor stickers around the renovation area. Quite cool!
